Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year.  We have had a very productive year to this point.  We have some awesome students and teachers.  And without our parent support we would be hurting.  I would like to thank all parents and community members for their support.  All of our High School graduates went on to high education institutions this year.  One student received a scholarship at Allen Hancock College and is their #2 pitcher this year.  Another of our graduates received a basketball scholarship to Bakersfield College.  Another of our graduates received financial aid to attend Mills college to study biological engineering.  I am encouraging all of out seniors to fill out applications and send them to all colleges they may be interested in attending.  We are furnishing transportation for any student who would like to attend College Night on Monday, September 14, 2009.  The juniors and seniors have taken the ASVAB test and we will have the test organizer back in next week to go over the results.  The CAHSEE will be given in October.  Any student who did not pass the CAHSEE has two years past graduation to come back and take the test.  If you are one of those students please contact Mr. Wolfe.  Please feel free to contact me at any time.  I encourage parents to visit school frequently.  I still need parents to serve on the School Site Council and the Bond Oversight Committee.  If you are interested please contact me at 769-8231.
